Welcome to Kingsland Family Health Centre! Since 1984. Located in the heart of the vibrant Kingsland village, we are proud to be an integral part of this thriving and diverse community. We believe in providing comprehensive high quality care for everyone. 

At Kingsland Family Health Centre, out care model is collaborative. Our team consists of experienced Nurse and General Practitioners   who work together to provide comprehensive and personalised care to our patients. 

Our practice is further supported by expert practice nurses who provide a variety of medical procedures and treatments and are educated in health promotion. Their extensive knowledge and experience contribute to the overall well-being of our patients. Additionally, our exceptional medical receptionist team ensures that your experience at our centre is smooth and efficient, from booking appointments to addressing any administrative needs you may have.

Incorporating modern practice into our services allows us to enhance patient outcomes, improve efficiency, and provide a more personalised experience. Here are some ways in which we address modern practice at our health centre:

1. Telemedicine: We recognise the convenience and accessibility that telemedicine offers. Through virtual phone or video consultations, we can provide medical advice, diagnose certain conditions, and prescribe medications when appropriate. This allows patients to receive care from the comfort of their own homes or work places, eliminating the need for unnecessary travel or waiting times.

 

2. Electronic: Where ever possible we are paperless all laboratory requests are electronic and orders are sent directly to our community lab provider, Awanui/Labtests. All prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy of choice or directly to your phone and you will receive a confirmation text to direct to your chosen pharmacy. Referral are sent securely and electronically using our secure Patient Management System (PMS). 

3. Patient Managment System (PMS): We use Medtech Evolution as our PMS to ensure accurate and seamless communication between healthcare providers. Medtech Evolution allow us to securely store and access patient information, reducing the risk of errors and improving coordination of care. This modern practice enables our healthcare team to have a comprehensive view of each patient's medical history, resulting in more informed and efficient decision-making.

4. Patient Portals: ManageMyHealth is our patient portal that allows individuals to access their medical summary results, schedule appointments and request prescription repeats. This secure online platform empowers patients to take an active role in managing their healthcare, promoting patient engagement and improving communication between our patients and us as your providers

5. Health Monitoring Devices: We encourage the use of modern health monitoring devices, such as wearable fitness trackers, heart rate monitors  or blood pressure monitors, to help patients track their health and make informed decisions. By integrating data from these devices into our healthcare system, we can provide personalised recommendations and interventions based on real-time information.

6. Preventive/Lifestyle Medicine and Health Promotion: We emphasise the importance of preventive medicine and health promotion in modern practice. Our healthcare professionals are well-versed in evidence-based guidelines for screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle interventions. We work closely with our patients empowering them to take control of their health and reduce the risk of future health issues.
